Theme in my Life

1–2 minutes

Loving what I do resonates strongly. Continuous gratitude flows through my life. Teaching kindergarten is at the top of the list. I considered it a joy to wake up ready to play with my extended family in the classroom. Teaching and molding them touched my heart. When I became acquainted with Pacific Symphony’s education program at my school, an immediate love affair began. I extended their program and quickly began writing curriculum for the orchestra’s Class Act.

Upon moving, I seized the opportunity to create a sweet combo of my loves. My side piano business, my classroom experience and the phenomenal resource, Class Act provided, launched my full time piano with a twist business. I am passionate about the unique program I offer. Children reflecting that passion confirms my work. Students love to hear the stories of how their music came to be. They enjoy sharing their art responses. Instant multimedia ties into lessons. The iPad lends to making learning fun. Truly catering to individuals is rewarding.

In my mind, I see parallels to music quite often. Right now, I envision a masterpiece with the main theme, then secondary theme, movements, etc., resounding with gratitude and honor. My lifework has always been so much more than a career.
